ITEM! shocked & appalled that bluddy parky ( w/his "everything was better in the old days", real ale, gricket & jamie gullum values ) got a knighthood in the new year honours but there was nothing more for britain's greatest entertainer, beloved bruce forsyth - o well, brucie is the people's "sir" in a "queen of all our hearts" type of way

Yesterday I forgot Bruce Forsyth's surname, and had to imagine The Generation Game as presented by Bruce Willis.

b.willis = my second favourite brucie ( with foxton third ) unless i've forgotten anyone ( - i thort die hard 4.0 was a real return to form )

they spelt forsyth wrong on the "brucie should get a knighthood" petition at the 10 downing st website - which i suspected wouldn't bode well ( - despite over a thousand "signatures" by the glosing date )...

from an old maurice dodd & dennis collins perishers gomic strip:
wellington: "i shot an arrow in the air - it fell to earth i know not where"
( he shoots toy arrow skyward )
( it lands on marlon's head knocking him over )
wellington ( still in poetic reverie ): "that was a bit of longfellow"
marlon: ( dazed ): "it felt more like a telegraph pole!"
