Shakespear's Sister made me cry with joy the other day. I must have seen the video to 'Stay' about ten zillion times innit but I was feeling quite fragile on Sunday!

Ghostly Girls Aloud - Nicola is SUCH a wuss, but not as wussy as Nadine who didn't even show up!

ta for the youtube link

- doesn't nicola girls aloud have a reputation for being q.stroppy? - i spose they all do - even if i was a ghost i wouldn't dare mess with cheryl tweedy ( - tho i do like lily allen's silly song abt her )

ps. i still can't "see" sophie ellis bextor using the word "goddamn" in real life the way she does in murder on the dancefloor - i spose she might get her butler to say it for her...

I gather Matthew Pinsent was claiming to be the direct (whatever that means) descendant of William the Conqueror, who claimed descent from Jesus as part of his kingly credentials. Jesus being the only son of God, that'd make Sir Pinsent a direct descendant of God. Or possibly a nutter (albeit one who's good at rowing).

- thank you...! - i spose it means william the conqueror was the original "nutter" - tho i don't blame anybody at the time for not telling him

Hee, I did a LOL (sorry) when I read about the sanger. It's true though, every word! Free food does elicit the 'this is the greatest moment of my life' feelings :)

- i was almost pathetically grateful to the lady giving out the free sandwiches - when i said: "thanks VERY much", she looked puzzled as if to say "what for?"

( - most ppl getting 'em seemed to be "grab & grunt" merchants )

Free food is always good...The best I ever got was a free can of Coke Zero!
It wouldnt be the first time a celeb has moved into the world of sandwich providing would it? Mr Glitter did this many many years ago. Sadly when I was in the big smoke for DR WHO's 30 anniversary convention, I actively sought said establishment. I didnt buy anything though as the prices were ridiculous (I know I am conforming to Scottish stereotypes!)

once time, many years ago - some genius had the idea of giving away free cans of guinness in victoria station ( to promote a new widget ) - word spread round the office like wildfire - & ppl were going round & round the queues over & over again - i got 4 cans myself but some colleagues ended up w/the equivalent of crates of the stuff

in the end it attracted loads of tramps & unruly behaviour and the police had to be called
