( - here we go, rough kids )
ITEM! they were giving away free microwaveable sandwiches outside putney library yesterday - from "ugo's deli cafe" - i got a "hot & crispy" panini w/chargrilled chicken, mozzarella & pesto - of course, me being me i obv can't help thinking "this is the greatest moment of my life!" when someone gives me a free sandwich - alas, once nuked as per instructions it was hot & soggy rather than hot & crispy as advertised ( despite the "crisp wrap sleeve" that came with it" ) - also the cheese had almost gompletely disappeared in the atomic fires - ugo = generous w/the chicken tho & it wasn't too dry - oi'll give it foive w.o.agwu stars out of ten - i doubt if i'd buy one - but an average free sandwich is still a free sandwich - so thumbs aloft for that
i dunno much abt "ugo's deli cafe" - the only ugo i know ( of ) = ugo ehiogu who used to play for a.villa & i think middlesborough - praps he's branched out into sandwiches...?
in other news: in the putney sainsbury's they are doing two tubes of sensodyne pronamel toothpaste for the price of one = result
ITEM! at 8.06 this morning, wogan ( cut me a bit of slack, i'm old ) played sophie ellis bextor's "it's murder on the dancefloor" & i HAD to have a little dance ( honestly, it was JUST like the video in here ) ( i blame the two gups of goffee i had previously ) - & now i'm totally exhausted for the rest of the day
also, it almost made me weep w/joy - why do i find that particular song so affecting...? - almost as much as morrissey's "trouble loves me" ( the day wogan plays that 'un, i'll know something's up ) - it's something to do with her intonation rather than the actual lyrics, i think
ITEM! see you all ( ie none of you ) at tomorrow's bert anderson ( ex out of suede & the tears ) goncert at the queen elizabeth hall
gonsidering i'm none too keen on his warblings, i think this'll be the 7th time i've seen bashful brett in goncert ( previously: 4 suedes, 1 tears, 1 solo ) - payback will come when morrissey next plays in london - before the end of the year hopefully ( at least according to janice long ) ( so it must be true ) - still, i prefer banderson to the rugby ( " - come on england! ", i spose - putney will be bluddy unbearable for days after if the south africans win )
we're in the gods at the qeh but my better half will probly be able to rush to the front as nearly everyone will be off watching the rugby instead - who wouldve thort they'd be such a strong brett anderson/rugby grossover...? - time out describe bertie as an "enthusiastic bum slapper", so maybe it'll be a more fun evening than i'm expecting ( plse play something from the first suede alb, mr a )
ITEM! personally i've very little interest in genealogy or fambly tree progs - but according to last night's "who do you think you are?" on bbc1, olympic gold medal rower matthew pinsent is not only related to william the conqueror but is also "a direct descendant of god" ( - if anyone can explain how this works, plse LMK )
- presumably he's like the last scion in kevin smith's dogma? ( tho she = gonsiderably more fancy ) - & is the pope is now gonna step aside for pinsent...?
unfortunately, i missed the hon. preston's ( of celebrity big brother and preston & chantelle fame ) investigation into voodoo on channel 4 but no doubt it'll be repeated ( i've still never seen "ghost hunting with girls aloud" either ) - meanwhile, on the second episode of "30 rock" ( last nite, channel five ), igneous was evicted - leaving only 28 rocks left in the quarry - my fave = sedimentary, obv
& didn't lilya look absolutely beautiful all made up on last nite's strictly gompulsive disorder it takes two...? - of course, it could've just have been becos she was sitting next to that dr evil/eggert magnusson lookin'
runt ITEM! my "profile" on bbc weatherman daniel corbett ( not son of ronnie, unfortunately ) has been unavoidably delayed DUE TO INDUSTRIAL ACTION BY MY BRANE
- have a goob weekend everybody...!
