TSCC 2.19 This is the Day, part 2: Picspammy discussion (spoilery if you haven't seen it)

This episode, I will go out on a limb and say, is one of the best, if not the best episode of the series. It is the best concerning Thomas's performance.

I didn't cap the whole ep, but the three scenes that were what I view as the crux of the ep.

I totally, totally agree. That whole scene with Jesse - Thomas just transforms. He lets you see JOHN CONNOR, after so many hints. I love it. And *really* interesting to know that about the final scene. <3

He also told her that the crying scene was 2 takes, because that's all he could manage-- he's not much of a cryer (hee)

and the Jesse scene, he said, took a good bit of time.

I'm always fascinated by the process and technique of acting. I think the quality absolutely shines through in this episode from everyone, but Thomas just rules.

I was going to post that I want to see him being like that with Sarah and Cam, but ironically they're probably the only two people he can show his weaknesses to... and then eventually it'll only be Cameron.

Ooh, that explains a lot about the future when you think about it - if there's no Kate Connor, then there has to be Cameron. It's like an alternate universe take.

I was just thinking about that! They are (so far) creating a future without Kate and only, so we're told, Cameron.

How lonely indeed.

That first Derek cap with the truck and the fog and the back light -- that's my Derek.

This is one of the best eps, agreed. Thanks for sharing. <3

<333!! It's remarkable. Still watching it again, I had goosebumps.

I keep also looking at the profile of Thomas there, too and that's very similar to one from Village of the Damned. I need to post those side by side.
