What an exceptionally well-written, original and delightful story! Great scenario, very well done descriptions (the elevator ride, the candy machine, Banks' awareness of his posture, demeanor, of all the characters, tug boat and cargo ship, lol) and dialogue (captured their voices) ... all of it, superb.

Lovely Simon characterization -- so grumpy and cynical when new things are tossed at him and yet so able to change his mind and appreciate it later on.
