Oh, very nice, very very nice - I love Simon stories, especially those that do show him as the effective and efficient leader he needs to be to be where he is... and his creative use of Blair's skills, and the enjoyment Blair gets from them being used in a new way, is great :)

This was beautiful. Simon is an integral part to the workings of Jim and Blair, but sometimes I like to see stories that are based on him and his view. He is definitely the type of guy to put himself between his men and the ivory tower. *grin*

I did a little of the research attributed to Blair, and that willingness to stand between your people and your superiors has been shown to make a profound difference in lowering burnout.
