Thankful for my friend Margaret, who just let me read my "Aikido and writing" essay in all its rough-draftiness to her and made Useful Comments while also being very positive about it.

Writer friends like Margaret are indeed worth our gratitude. --What an interesting, intriguing essay topic. I know nothing about Aikido, so it would be informative for that reason as well.

I guess it's been in my head so long I was thinking of it as sort of boring and obvious, but Margaret says no, writing journals might like it, too (I'm writing it for an Aikido newsletter).
