For years I said my lucky number was 13, using the most sarcastic voice possible. I didn't win things. Sometimes I achieved things through a helluva lot of hard work. But I didn't win.

I can't really say that any more, because:

Isn't Pratchett wonderful? As for the wins, I am simply stunned, or gobsmacked, whichever you prefer.

I think it's wise to take this lucky streak as a sign you're on the perfect path. Hope the luck and feeling good about your writing continues. I expect it will.

I'm hoping you're right about it all being a sign. It sure feels that way.

Yay you! I won a book on Through the Tollbooth, but it never got sent. Maybe my LJ message with my address went astray. It was about the first thing I ever won ever, so kind of sad I didn't get it, but at least I WON, right?

Yes indeed, you won. That's what's important. The prize doesn't matter as much as the validation.

I feel like a winner since I'm finally going to a Con after having all sorts of things I want to go to but was unable to for various reasons pass me by. It's gonna be awesome!

Oh yes. The Con rules. I'm so glad you're going to be able to go. --Take back-up cold remedies, etc. so if something happens unexpectedly you'll be ready to deal.

(You did get to the first ever Irish DiscWorld Con, but I know that's slightly different & another way in which Ireland was wonderful.)
