Since most of you couldn't read my novel-in-progress at LJ, for reasons no one could decipher, I killed the story and will be sending the rest of the chapters via a yahoo group.

LiveJournal confuses me. I think I'll just use it for Harry Potter purposes. :)

OK, folks... this is it. Dec. 1st. And I promised myself I'd post new bits of my book every day beginning Dec. 1st. So... obviously, here's the first bit. :D
