6-6-6 day today! What the devil's got into people?

Jun 06, 2006 23:40

Today on my afternoon lunch break I'm walking back to work with a young, female coworker. We're walking west along Dundas just west of Yonge Street by the subway exit on the north side of the street. The sidewalk is pretty narrow there. Suddenly a big, bulky guy in a black t-shirt shoulder-checks me and knocks me into my coworker, who is smaller ( Read more... )

i'd never try to start anything with you on the street...if it makes you feel any better. lol

i didn't realize the significance of today's date until someone pointed it out to me. when i was filling in a bank deposit slip, i didn't think anything of 6-6-6. i noticed i was writing 06-06-06 and thought that was cool. and then someone reminded me. and then i realized i was depositing $660.

too many 6s, if you ask me. :\

hopefully tomorrow will be better. :)

you definitely are the most knocked about person that i know.

when someone bumps me we both mutter "oh...sorry", and nothing ever escalates. maybe that is because i'm 2 inches shorter than 5'9"?

I usually mutter an "excuse me" and give a sorry expression and make sure the other person's alright. But in this case, it was obviously intentional and the guy was twice my size.

in speaking with erik he has confirmed your observation about agressive street behaviour. he also experiences the same type of temper that boils under the surface and in the shoulders of passerby's, and he is 6 feet tall - so he assumes it is just a guy thing.

Well, at least you're ok. Stupidity indeed! D:<

I can generally dodge people pretty well, standing at a lofty 5'2". XP
Thankfully, no one's really come at me on the streets. Someone could get seriously hurt...mainly the other person.
