Oh, hon, this is lovely! It's so them, the way that they don't talk about the big things and the personal things, and so it's going to be so easy for misunderstandings to happen. And poor Kara, breaking down like that. I'm so happy Laura found her that day, and that they managed to get things back at the end.

I adore the start - Laura telling the story of how they met to anyone she can, and Kara getting all embarrassed about it. So adorable. They kind of had to get together in some way like that - some way that didn't involve them getting together, so it ended up being a sort of accident. You know?

That scene where Kara finally persuades Laura to fuck her is super hot, too.

I loved this! Thank you :)

Thanks, hon. So happy it felt OK. I'm not used to writing Laura so I always worry that I have her ALL WRONG and everyone will hate me for ruining her. But hey, it's a process & hopefully I'll start to feel more comfortable with her ways eventually.

Totally. No help for it. A meet-cute was required! :P

Hope your day improves! Stupid work is stupid.

Eeeeek, so I've re-read this so many times since you've posted it with the revisions, and sweetie, I adore it. I really do. The utter sweetness of these two in this is...ughhh...like, despite all the angst and their combined trauma, they have this vulnerability that comes out when they're together. You show how incredibly brave they are, you know? You never let us forget what's at stake for each of them, the baggage they've accumulated, the losses they've experienced...Even with all that, they're able to take a chance on each other. They both strike me as two women of incredible faith, and it 's what makes them such compelling characters. They're so stupid brave and courageous, even if it's just them allowing themselves to take care of each other and share a small amount of domesticity. The added on bits really helped flesh this out, and ugh, <3 <3 <3

Thanks, hon. Your comments are always so much appreciated. Honestly. I saw your new fic today too and adored it! I'll share my thoughts about how wonderful it is tomorrow probably. I just don't have the emotional fortitude for anything cogent today. But know it's everything I've come to expect from your stuff. Really heart stabby & tremendous.

Thanks again for all your insights on this one! If it's any good at all, it's in large part thanks to you.
