So WAYYYYY back at the beginning of March I promised kdbleu a fic based on Bill Adama's POV on Kara and Lee as a couple for  THIS Wishing Well post. Sadly, I suck and it took me until now to do it because I am THE WORST! Hopefully she'll forgive me someday, somehow. Although if not, I can't much blame her.

Kind of sad, but I genuinely think, especially at that time in the story, Bill would have been very against a relationship between Lee and Kara, to the point of being jealous and malicious. I love it.

I really believe he would have reacted badly at this point as well. Bill always starts off belligerent and stubborn about new information and later thinks better of it. Poor guy just needs some time to process.

Which would make for an interesting boxing scene between Lee and Bill in a more AU sense, if Bill thought better of scaring Kara off at the dance and spent the next morning sussing out Lee's feelings for Kara. hmmm.

Although, for me, I think it might take him longer than that to suss it out. He's slow with the whole 'feelings' stuff.

Geesh Bill, you're both a drama queen AND a killjoy! Lol. I could certainly see him doing something like this, although it's hard to imagine him being...what's the opposite of obtuse?...insightful enough to actually see the pain he's actually causing them, you know? Sigh. Good job, bb!

I think the only way he could have been pulled from his naive and oblivious stance on them would be for someone to literally tell him flat out like Laura does. He's sooooo good at ignoring the obvious. Such an adept Commander. Such a bumbling father. *pets him*
