So happy for you, all active duty personnel, our community and our country. Not only will people be able to serve openly and honorably, but it will open up a discussion of survivors' benefits (and eventually ALL federal benefits) for men and women who have served their country.

That's not all I have to say on this.
Hoping benefits/health insurance will be extended to the same-sex partners of service men and women, too!!
Hoping also that compassion, logic, common sense, and better judgement prevail, as far as gay marriage is concerned.
I get angry when I think on this.
Since when should straight people be ALLOWED to think they have the right to prevent gays and lesbians from getting married?
Hey, maybe I'll start perusing the newspapers and tell hetero couples that I forbid them to marry because they're straight!
Sounds stupid? Of course!
No more stupid than straights forbidding us to get married...
