On Friday night, my father called to let me know that my Aunt Pam was in the hospital, just up the road from me.  She'd been growing steadily more and more sick over time and it was expected that the end was near...

And I never really feared death... More that, I feared that my beliefs might not hold up when faced with it. It's impossible to know how you'll react when faced with something you've never actually faced before. That being said... I've seen in her the strength to stand by your convictions and face the unknown with dignity and grace.
