One of the options my car DIDN'T have that I wanted...  Was a GPS.  In truth, it's not something I NEED, because I know my way around Chicagoland...  But now that I'm with reliable transportation, my range has extended considerably and things like "Road Trips" no longer require rental cars.  SO, with my TRIP TO THE EAST COAST coming up in just ( Read more... )

Ha, I was just reading a review on this unit the other day, and it wasn't flattering- they said it was slow as balls and was cumbersome to use.

I give it a month before someone sees the suction cup marks on your windshield and breaks into your car to steal it.

That said, Google Maps + Triangulation has never let me down!

There are a TON of reviews out there and they all seem to either LOVE it, or HATE it... With a number of people under the distinct impression that those who love it, are actually the company's marketing department posting under aliases.

However, it's nice to know you're putting that karma out there to get my window smashed in... Living in the city it's a serious likelihood and one I don't appreciate being reminded of... *earsdrop*

we had a rash of vehicle break-ins here from thieves who would go around the student lots, look for the marks, smash and grab. Your best bet is to mount it from your sun roof.

I just got a cheap pda with GPS on it on ebay and downloaded the tom tom software XD

Do not do not do not leave that damn thing or the suction mount in view when outside of the vehicle. Sooo many of those get jacked out of cars it's insane.
