Cooking sprays?

Any thoughts on/suggestions for cooking sprays? I used Pam years ago but stopped because it makes me cough. My non-stick baking pans are getting mighty old and I want to replace them with non non-stick ones.

Wife uses Pam, so no help there. But I have heard of people using olive oil or other cooking oils in a pump-spray bottle.

For a while, we could buy Mazola brand corn oil in a non-aerosol can (you shook it, then sprayed - the spray lasted for about 1/3 the amount that you needed.) I haven't been able to find it on the shelves here, though, for a couple of years.

As Jim notes, a cooking supply store should have atomizers, and you can use your own oil and then mist them into the pans. This has the added advantage that you can use flavored oils for specific projects, if you're willing to pour back and forth...

Good luck!

I use Crisco olive oil spray for regular frying/roasting, and a store brand spray that contains flour for baking.
