We had the first of the severe Autumn gales in England last night; these are nothing like the hurricanes and typhoons endured elsewhere in the world but enough to bring down trees and to sweep unwary people into the sea. Now that the winds have died down, they have probably headed back south to the shore, no doubt snacking on the way.

Yes, so many gulls! There were far more than I could fit in the photo! As soon as the wind dropped and it was daylight, they left, flying back south to the sea - probably near PS!
