Late Summer colouring in St Giles churchyard, Oxford, UK

Here is a shot of typical August colours where I am:  grass parched yellow under the trees but bright green and growing elsewhere, leaves starting to fall like petals, sky blue but cool, sharp shadows but with the sunlight still showing the golden tinge of warmth.  Click on the picture for a larger size:

You are getting autumn already? but then it does not feel like the end of august either. *sigh*

Hello! Yes, the shadows are long, the mornings heavy with dew and the lawn covered with fallen apples. Definitely signs of autumn.

The light is lovely and the evening temperatures are still warm. This is the first decent summer that we have enjoyed for a number of years so we are all appreciating NOT having to wear jumpers and fleeces.

Its my fave time of year, but here goes by really fast, so far all green, and no yellow or orange or red, but sometimes it depends on how dry the season was. Reminds me to get up north in time for the leaf change this year!
