Late Summer colouring in St Giles churchyard, Oxford, UK

Here is a shot of typical August colours where I am:  grass parched yellow under the trees but bright green and growing elsewhere, leaves starting to fall like petals, sky blue but cool, sharp shadows but with the sunlight still showing the golden tinge of warmth.  Click on the picture for a larger size:




St Giles church dates from the early 1100s and is still a lively parish centre today.  The churchyard is not far (less than 5 minutes walk) from the city centre;  it is always open (has a public footpath through it) and tends to be used by vagrants, drunks and other addicts as a refuge from observation and being moved on.
