It's probably coming from that one time Amy got married then tried to kiss the Doctor, and everyone was all adorable all the time I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I can't remember the last time tv made me this purely happy. *silly dance of joy*

Gaaaaah, thank you for the rec! I didn't think I'd like it so much, but you were totally right. In particular, the idea of Rory the guard as something that shows how solid he is rather than something ~*romantic*~ was a brilliant line to read. It put a fabulous perspective on it.
