post-finale insta-rec
It occurs to me this is the first Doctor Who finale that hasn't sent me searching for fix-it fic immediately afterwards, and so it is fitting that the fic I'm about to rec is nothing more than a celebration of the finale, the characters, and where we are now:
Scenes From the Wedding Album of Ms. and Mr. Pond, by loneraven. Amy/Rory, Eleven. It is so sweet and so tender, and if your heart feels as full as mine has since yesterday, I think you will love it.
(Which is not to say that I am not hoping ariastar will write another virtual season, as has become my personal tradition, but I expect this series will not leave as legacy its own genre of fix-it fic, like all series before had, but rather, I expect we'll be seeing a lot more of this type of happy, loving, fun fic. Have I mentioned yet how happy this finale made me?)
Speaking of scenes from the wedding, I trust you all have seen the wedding photos on the BBC site already? Two words: Amy. Top-hat.
