For some asinine reason, this is an afternoon game, which means parking would be either insanely expensive or just flat-out impossible, so I'm going to just take the Metro down there and hang around after the game until rush hour is over, I guess

Heh you're welcome! Credit goes to my soldier though; he keeps an eye on that stuff more than I do these days.

I hear you on a jet lag on books - still waiting for the next Dresden Files book to be released on the end of November. (PREORDERED MUA HA HA) but then I have a pile of books I want to read but don't seem to have the time to these days.

Also hoping to start reading Will and Ariel Durant's The Story of Civilization - Rhys got me a set!!! that were practically brand new, though without dust covers.

The Durant series is supposed to be pretty good, but I haven't read it (yet); as for the Dresden Files books, I suspect I'll get into Larry Correia's Monster Hunter series first. With the exception of the Laundry series, which are more like SF spy novels, I find myself pretty uninterested in horror and fantasy these days unless they're on the ill-defined border with SF.
