Or, as they say in the pocket schedule, "Fantastic FANale". For some asinine reason, this is an afternoon game, which means parking would be either insanely expensive or just flat-out impossible, so I'm going to just take the Metro down there and hang around after the game until rush hour is over, I guess.
Still no carpet replacement, which means the scale and my stack o' plastic storage cubes are still taking up space in the galley, which means I have no idea what my weight is. Been eating right all week and my BG readings have been good, so I'm sure I'm in the ballpark, so to speak. (Heh.)
I may be doing a road trip with
Stacy tomorrow down to Fishersville to see some NRA bigwigs say nice things about Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. It's a two-and-a-half hour drive from here, probably less from Chantilly and definitely less if Stacy drives. If not, well, it's not like I don't have things to keep me busy around here.
Thanks to

Enter The Freeman, which makes me want to acquire and play Half-Life even more than I already do.
I'm in the middle of re-reading
The Apocalypse Codex, which may set me off on a jag of re-reading the rest of the Laundry novels when I'm done.
I thought we were doing wargaming this weekend, but I guess I was wrong; it's tentatively scheduled for the 20th. I may have gotten a politics-related temporary job by the weekend anyway; we'll see how that goes.
