This post continues to make my world a better place. Combined with this picture from I Can Has Cheezburger? made me wonder why there are no fics in which Mikey Way, deeply dissatisifed with the available choices in clothing for his four-legged friends decides to start his own line of clothing for pets.
This is especially awesome in that it doesn't even have to be an AU. Rock Star Mikey Way decides that if people like Pete and Frank can start their own clothing lines he can too! He's got the money and the fame, he's a rock star, dammit! (But mostly because he has the money.)
He gets Frank to make sweaters and other knittables for the clothing line, or Frank comes in with a few ideas of his own, and everyone's looking at them like they're crazy because, well. A clothing line for pets, you know?
Mikey and Frank are not disheartened by the shortsightedness of those around them, however, and press bravely on. They get Gerard in to do art for their line of hoodies and whatnot, and he's maybe thinking Mikey's finally snapped, but it's not like he has room to talk, so. (Also, Frank.)
The fashion magazines (or...whatever) keep predicting that Mikey and Frank's clothing line is going to fail because they clearly don't understand the genius of it, but no! It succeeds beyond anyone's wildest dreams and they expand! Ray, Bob, and Brian somehow get dragged into it, and then Pete comes along at some point, interested in cutting a deal involving Clandestine because he has a thing where he loves dressing Hemmy up (canon!), and then. I don't know. My knowledge of the fashion industry/petwear is sadly lacking. *sadface*
