It's 5am, nearing the end of my first night shift (one more night shift to go, then 4 days off! Huzzah!). I am discovering how fun it is to put crazy 4am comments on peoples posts. Bwahahaha.

Akshoslaa and I are buying a house. It's been in the works for awhile, but we are being more active about it now since karlski and sassamifrass moving out means double rent! $$ Oh joy

Fingers crossed on the house stuff and finding good place! It took me 5 months to find my place but I am really happy with it. It is a long but interesting process :-)

In addition to the mortgage broker, go and have a word with your bank. When I was buying my place the brokers all recommended different people, but when I spoke with the bank they came out on top. You can also negotiate with the bank and get them to lower or possibly drop the mortgage insurance, although I sucked at negotiating, one of my friends got a much better deal.

Drhoz and I are paying well over twice what we were paying in rent with our mortage.... but... *looks at brightly painted walls in the house* IT's SO WORTH IT! :D
