'm one of what seems like the few people who liked Lisa all along and didn't actually have a problem with her being Dean's dream girl (more because of the whole mother thing), but I really liked what we saw of her in this. She didn't let Dean bs her or himself and the way they were just interacting... I liked it. And I like them together. I really hope that they let Dean keep her and Ben as a home base even when he gets back into hunting. And that they don't kill her or Ben.

Dean playing golf has to be a sly shout out to the fact that Jensen is rather a golf fanatic. Yes! I thought so too!
Also, domestic!Dean can hang around a little longer if it means we get more glimpses of skin like in this -- lots of Dean in short sleeves (ARMS!) and we even got to see him barefoot when he was checking the devil's trap at the door. When I rewatched, I actually paused and rewound that bit to watch again. I don't think we've actually seen Dean's bare feet since In My Time of Dying. And these were real bare feet not astral bare feet.
I really do think this ep will feel stronger and more awesome as the season goes on and the storylines play out and we can look back and see the groundwork in this one. In the meantime, bare feet and pretty.
I'm spoiled slightly for Sam, and I won't share what I know, but I totally agree with you about everything you said about him. That whole paragraph about the character build up gets a thumbs up from me.
Also, Lisa? I really like her. I liked her from the moment we met her back in S3. And, like you, I was perfectly fine with her being his 'dream' girl AND with Dean going to her at the end of S5. And, y'know, I like the idea that for once it's trauma, not demon that's the cause.
And yes, exactly, Lisa was all potential before this ep and now we see that potential played out and it is pretty cool. I really hope we get Lisa and Ben as a continuing homebase all along. *fingers crossed*
There's something vulnerable about Dean in bare feet -- possibly because most of the time he's wearing boots. It's like a physical manifestation of letting his guard down that resonates for me somehow.
Also, he just has really nice looking feet. :)
Any time either of the boys wears a bit less than all their usual layers I'm usually mesmerized. (and it goes without saying I can't wait for the actual scene from this icon... Rawr)
It's Sam. (Or Jared playing someone who looks like Sam in case it's a shapeshifter or something.) It's from the extended promo that the CW put out last week. I swear, Jensen and Jared induce a weird kind of tourette's in me. I've been known to spontaneously blurt out "ARMS!" when faced with pics of either of them in short sleeves (but most particularly Jared) and that little clip had me going "HIPBONES!"
Also, Samuel and the Campbell cousins are so up to something. I don't know if it's going to turn out they're evil and into whatever is happening up to their necks or just amoral and doing stuff the Winchesters would never condone, but something is up there.
I just hope that our Sammy isn't sucked into whatever The Badness is, you know?

Well Samuel was hiding whatever they were doing from Sam as much as from Dean so...
Besides if Sam does get sucked in, Dean will pull him back out. *nods sagely*
The DJ SAM thing seems like totally one of those awesome little touches the show art department does. It was nice to see. :)
