I love the show a lot and I squee when I watch it, but it just hasn't reached real fannish obsession for me yet. I expect though it's a matter of time. Ensemble shows seem to take a little longer to get me to that point. (The average is a season and a half of dedicated viewing to hit that point.) I do want to vid it though, when I get the dvds and find the right song.
I actually gave up on the Buffy comic as I hated his Ethan dialogue so much. The guy shouldn't try to write any Brits other than the BBC-received accented without a language advisor. And looking at soundingsea's comment above, I gave up just in time.
You did. I was wondering if you were reading it, and went to check if you were online when I got all caught up because I knew if anyone would share my Ethan outrage it would be you. ;)
I'm becoming a complete Whovian currently, which I haven't been since I was a kid. (Working at a comic/SF merchandise shop during the old school years was more than enough to put me off the fandom. Wild

It's good to read a review of Supernatural: Origins. I was in the comic shop this weekend and almost bought the first two issues, but the artwork did put me off. There's so much more beautiful stuff out there, why should I pay for something that looks like a child drew it? was my thinking. However, if it's good, I will pick up the Trade when it comes out. I'm skipping your Supernatural comments though as I haven't seen S2 yet at all. :(
I agree with you about Martha and Ten. I did not like Rose with Ten at all, and I thought towards the end there that she was all shouty, spoilt and horribly over-acted (which was a marked contrast to BP's early Rose), so I was actually relieved when she left. But I'm finding that with Ten too. I still miss Nine, and am not sure if I'll ever get over it. I like DT, he's certainly easy on the eye, and interesting, but I find often portrays Ten all shouty and it's off-putting. I miss CE - he seemed easier with the nuance. Anyway, next week: JACK!! Can't wait! :D
I'm liking the story enough in SPN: Origins to keep with it in spite of the art. Like I said in a comment above, I used to way back when collect the Marvel Star Wars comic which is still my high(low?) point of bad comic art, with the square masculine jaws on everyone, including Leia, and Chewbacca with a moustache.
With the Doctor, I've been a DW fan since I was a kid so I've watched through many Doctors coming and going, as well as many companions. I do miss Nine and I think he has made the top of my list as favourite Doctor, but I like Ten well enough.
I'm looking forward to seeing him interact with Jack this Saturday. :D
