I like Rose, but I'm not a huge fan, though I'll be the first to admit that she and the Doctor do work extremely well together. However quite a few times this season, and bit towards the end of the last one, I got slightly edgy thinking, yep, she's kind of outgrowing this show. I'm fine with her going now, and like you I'm mostly interested in seeing just how she exits.

Though in all honesty, I'm more interested in seeing how Jack rejoins the Tardis :)

I'm thinking now that they probably have been gearing the scripts toward dropping hints that Rose is going because they certainly would have known before they started filming, the way they film everything kinda together.

And yes! More Jack on the TARDIS! Naked Jack on the TARDIS would be even better. >;-)

As long as there is reciprocal flirting and chemistry, I'll forgo the naked butt shots. Kissing? Can we have kissing? And how about console frottage?

I'm going to miss Rose, but it's not unexpected. If they kept her on, now *that* would be shocking. Yesterday, I watched episodes 4-9 of this season, and the hints! oh the hints! they're dropping about her (probable) demise. They're everywhere.

Although I'd love to see Capt Jack (hubba!) on Series 3--will he be there for a while?--I can't wait to see who's up next.

But yeah, I'll miss Rose. (using my only Rose icon, but I don't really mean it. hee)

You've one more Rose icon than I have. *grin* Hence the use of my Exiled Doctor icon ;)

And yeah, they're definitely dropping hints for something big with Rose's leaving. I don't know if they'll kill her or maybe she'll end up ascended or something to steal a concept from SG1. But I'm sure it's going to be spectacular whatever it is.

Okay, I have satellite tv (kudos to you wolfling, mum caved after I told her what you had to say about it), but cannot find the new season of DW anywhere, and I have indeed been looking. Can you tell me where I might find it right now?

You in the US I take it? Series One just finished on the Sci-Fi Channel. Just this past week.

No, I'm Canadian, I have to wait for CBC.

It hasn't aired on CBC yet -- should be on this fall I think.

(I've been torrenting it because I'm too impatient to wait) ;)

I haven't looked anywhere on the internets but there's panic and horror and wank? Over this? Didn't we know this was going to happen? Sometimes I really hate fandom. And BBC with its policy of leaking information and reducing Shock Value.

And I'm with you: we need Jack, stat. (And some OT3ing.)

I don't know really if something like this could be kept completely leakfree -- not in this day and age. I'm actually pretty amazed that they've managed to keep a lid on it until now, 2/3 of the way through the season.

I agree with you. To be with the Doctor for two years seems to be the alotted time for all his companions. I love Rose, and I loved seeing how she grew up around the Doctor. I want to see how she goes, and I already have my box of tissues ready. I have a theory who may replace her ever since watching The Satan Pit.

... And I thought the guy who was playing Jack was going to be on Torchwood? Is it confirmed that he's going to be on both shows now?

As far as I can tell, John Barrowman's said he was going to be in s3 of DW, even after Torchwood was announced. That seems to be the way it's set up now. *Fingers crossed.*

Whatever happens, I would love to see Jack's reaction to both the new Doctor and Rose. As much of a `free love` guy Jack is, I always felt he had a real soft spot for 9th and Rose since their meeting.

Is it bad that I'm hoping that Mickey will show up again?
