Pride Month Video Recs 3.03

Jun 29, 2008 03:34

The last rec of '08 for me. lena3 will offer up hers later today. Here are links to all of our recs from 2006 and 2007

Here are Lena's posts from June 1, June 8, June 15 and June 22.

All video links refer to TLA Video. While the site does offer mainstream titles, it's one of the best sources for queer film on DVD.

Excellent Rec...The montage with Shane Mack's "Lie to Me" playing in the background is such a great scene. Love, love, love...hence me owning the DVD...lol. I've enjoyed the recs and can't wait to see what you have next year.

So glad to hear you've enjoyed the recs! And thanks for the heads up as to one of the artists providing the soundtrack to SHELTER...music is SO important to how a film is perceived!

*hugs*

"mom-a-bility" heeeee!

Heh! Well, 99% of every queer film I've watched has been shared with the mom-unit, so I'm very sensitive to that metric!

Thank you. I'll put this in my memories, if it's okay, so I'll have a quick reference of good movies I can watch.

Oh I just watched this about 3 weeks ago. It was lovely. I thought both boys were so real and of course adorable. All the surfing made me want to pack my bags and head for the west coast! :)

Yay! So cool to hear that you've heard of/viewed the film. Both boys (especially Brad) are totally adorable.

And a big 10-4 for a trip to the west coast!

I'll have to drag my butt over to the local Hollywood Video. They surprisingly carry all the queer film on DVD, might only have one copy, but they have it.

Hey, mate!

The film should be worth your time, I hope. Certainly some lovely eye-candy. Your viddie store sounds like the Blockbuster we used to have in that they'd usually have at least one copy of queer films (the joint has since closed).

Hope you're doin' well...and enjoy the film!
