We're discussing how to handle the various household chores at TELS and have found two options so far.
  1. The Shiny Economy from Plan B. Anyone have a link to this? I was looking around and didn't find it.
  2. Chore Wars. I know a number of people have been using this. I'd be interested in opinions if you're willing to share.

You and rhonan can test out whatever system you come up with on a "test house." Mine is perfect for this function: for I too have a grassy lawn, stairs, wood, fridge, and sink full of dishes. Heck, I can even provide a shedding cat for extra realism! I'm close by. You two come over when you think you'd normally do chores, give the chore system a try here, and work out the kinks, re-running the plan each week until it is perfected.

Then, apply it to your house...and it'll be smooth as silk. Guaranteed.

Have I told you recently how much I delight in you and love you. Your cunning plan won't work but I am still very amused.

OMG I wish I had had chore wars when I had the roommates from hell! My life would have been infinitely better.

I'm glad it's at least somewhat better now. You deserve it.

Are you thinking of implementing it in your current household?

Probably not. It's just me and the kids, so not much point to it. I suppose I could do it just so I have the satisfaction of earning points for doing ALL THE DAMNED WORK AROUND HERE... but probably not. I just think it is realy a terrific idea.

Maybe it can motivate them to do work? Get the kids to do stuff, you're the mom.
