  • My bus today had an advertisement that said that it has WiFi on the bus. That's really nifty as well as really odd. It's similar to the first time that I saw a 5-pack of writable DVDs in the checkout line at Fred Meyer's.

Metro started the Wi-fi thing early this summer, as a pilot project, on route 48 as well as one of the suburban commuter routes (I forget which one). They might be expanding it, finally...

They never even finished outfitting all the 48 coaches; I've seen it maybe once or twice, and I commute by 48 every workday.

i find it more enjoyable to read this time of the year, curled in a blanket keeping warm with a cuppa tea or something to warm my hands. It just seems the natural thing to do.
