Ah, but the real WTF is that you're still running Windows 2000. I mean, I think it's the greatest Microsoft OS ever, but it's getting damned old and hard to find patches for. Why not Linux?

It is still functional and stable and it is not a target for most malware. I also use Linux but many of the apps I use are only available in Windows, especially radio related software.
I'm starting to have the same problem with it that I had with WinME.
People hassle me to upgrade.

Pretty much every version of Windows, introduces a Nostalgia factor that makes the previous versions seem better by comparison. It then follows that the best way to make people like a Version of Windows, is to come out with a New Version of Windows. The longer you can resist the software/hardware driver driven forced upgrade cycle, the better.

I still have a Macintosh Performa 430 that runs just fine, you know, if you want to browse the internet on an 18.8 modem or word process in ClarisWorks, which was a damned good Office Suite. =P

Really, ClarisWorks was awesome! Doing everything an Office Suite is supposed to do, very little of what an Office Suite is not supposed to do and it does what it does, efficiently and with almost no bugs, ever.
