I think we've had this conversation :-)

They're about $20, and the yoghurt sachets are $3-4 (for 1kg). I eat yoghurt everyday so I think it's great, I usually make a plain or vanilla low fat, or a drinking yoghurt. I've let friends try it and they don't see to like it, I get they are used to really creamy, sweet yoghurts. This makes them a bit tangier. You can add sugar or use the sweetened flavours though. Sometimes I do buy yoghurt at the supermarket for a change. I noticed that Nestle (?) one you complained about is now new and improved!

yeah, i had it in my head it was much more expensive!!!!! I REALLY love Vaalia yoghurt, but it is quite expensive.

i will NEVER buy nestle yoghurt again - THAT WAS THE WORST YOGHURT OF MY LIFE.

I often make felafel rolls at home. I use a packet mix for the felafels (add water then form into balls and shallow fry). Then I usually add humous, tabouli, lettuce and tomato - or whatever I have around...celery slices or grated carrot also good. And a dash of tahini too. Wrap it all up in lebanese bread and grill it for a moment. Yum!

i've done felafel - it's so yummmmy. my lebanese friend makes the best hommus. i just stand by the bowl and eat it when she has parties - socialising be damned.

Yeah, I love felafel! I keep meaning to try and make them (and hommus) from scratch... One day! :)

yeah ive done it a couple of times.. i put a basic spice rub on the lamb as well. really really nice. tastes different to a 'kebab', just because everything is so fresh. but yeah, really really tasty.

The only other thing to note is that most wholemeal pitas are quite high in calories. 300 - 450 each depending on their size and weight. You could maybe try using Mountain Wraps, but they fall apart all the time unless wrapped in baking paper or something to hold it all together.

i just checked the ones i buy - it's about 260 calories (1100kj). I use Khobz wholemeal pita. have you tried Khobz Wholemeal Sorj? It's like mountain wraps but they are SOFT, CHEWY AND BEAUTIFUL. Fuck that Mountain Wrap shit off quick smart and found some khobz sorj (ingredients are just wholemeal flour and water, not even any fat).

http://www.mebfoods.com.au/khobz.html

(ok, shit website).

Mountain Wrap always falls apart. Sorj is the best - I can't sing its praises enough.

They sell in some Coles (i've never seen them in woolies).

That said, I've had a MASSIVE exercise week - 5 gym sessions, 1 basketball game and 2 basketball training sessions. If I can't have a wholemeal pita after all of that, then LIFE BE DAMNED!!!

I have a friend I lift weights with and she always says 'Eating's not worth it' when we're at the gym :)

LOL! I know EXACTLY what your friend means. When I'm putting things in calorie king, and an apple costs me 90 calories, I get annoyed thinking "Goddamn, there's twenty minutes of walking I have to do! >:("

Thank God we still burn calories while sleeping, that's all I'm saying!

Thanks for the tip on the Khobz. I'll search my local Coles for them when I go shopping next. :)

AN APPLE IS 90 CALORIES??

Ha, I eat my apples with peanut butter. I know, I know - but I don't care that much because I smash myself at the gym!!
