At least, that's what it said on the cover. 
I got the first Yu-Gi-Oh! manga out of the library, because I wanted to be able to say I'd read at least one manga before (I read the the first Kingdom Hearts one too, but to me, that didn't seem to count). I picked Yu-Gi-Oh! because it was one I'd at least heard of. I'm not sure I was expecting to like

I *think* the most popular manga thing refers to Shounen Jump, the magazine YGO ran in.

You may or may not like when the story shifts so that the card game becomes the main focus. XD Well, it's still really dark all the way through, but I mean, they start playing one particular game instead of all the different games they play in the first seven manga. I personally was introduced to the anime version, during the point when the card game was used, and I never did quite get used to the original seven manga, but I'll wait and let you read more and not spoil anything. ^^

Yeah, I knew about the card game aspect, and was wondering when it would show up. They only have the first three manga at the library anyway, but maybe I could find the others at a bookstore...
