Ok, I know that writing is an acquired skill. Not everyone will be amazing on their first story. Still, posting your story up for other people to read means that your story is open to comments and criticism. If you don't want reviewers nagging at you for your mistakes, why not learn to fix them beforehand? I thought I'd explore some of these ( Read more... )

Yay fanfic rants! XD It's definitely true, a title can make or break a story. **is guilty of being one of the 59 who used "Redemption" in a title.** Wow, 171 with "Memory" variations.

People naming stories stuff that has nothing to do with the stories.... Ugh. Don't think I've encountered that before, yet.

Misspelling characters' names, especially in a title, is unforgivable. XD It shows a definite lack of paying attention and generally makes me think the author is an idiot.

Especially if the name isn't that hard to start with. I can understand people getting Sephiroth or Barret wrong, but you wouldn't believe the number of "Clud"'s, "Clod's", or "Arith"'s I've seen.
