So a slight change in plans allows me to rearrange my army some. Blindfury has recently bought a bunch of artillery and AA, and was looking to give them a test. So building his army to suit 1000 points leaves him with his HQ, two half infantry platoons, a battery of 4 bofors AA guns and a battery of 4 4.5" howitzers and 4 18 pounders with OP carriers. Since his army is clearly more defensive, I rebuilt my Italians using a standard Bersaglieri Company. By ditching the fortified troops, I was able to keep my 1000 point army basically intact, with the addition of a full 75/27 battery. So I lose out on the fortifications and the gun nests, but gain an artillery battery and some quality for my troops. Granted, I'll still have 8 million bayonets to deal with, but it shouldn't be as bad as last time. So here's the new lineup ( ... )
