Noah's Ark. Not the story I would have imagined the deities to have chosen, but I suppose I can see the appeal of it. I'm certain there would be less drastic methods, however. If one intended to decrease the population why leave it to this?

Pale skin, lack of a proper body temperature, and various unusual desires. Were it not for the uncharacteristic reaction to sunlight, I could almost call this life as usual. A mild inconvenience, at best.

Still, I must wonder as to what the City believes itself to be playing at.

A penny for one's thoughts. A penny to pay the ferryman. Adding in one's own two cents.

If the City must offer such a mystery, I would far prefer it if they could arrange for a more savory method of delivery. The taste of metal is hardly an enjoyable one.

Yet again the city fills with strangers. I would call it odd, if it hadn't become routine. Still, since it hurts nothing to do so, allow me to ask: who else of our number has found themselves here?

If someone were to offer you something that was, essentially, a loophole in return for a few moments of work, would you accept it?

While I can't say there are matters that I have always wished to ask, I can't say that matters are the most enjoyable all the same. There are benefits, yes, but the drawbacks more than outweigh them. Still, there is some comfort in the fact that it can hardly last.

Two losses in quick succession. I would almost think the city was attempting to tell us something, were it not for the fact that it could just as easily be chance.
