I'm assuming you're familiar with Nina Auerbach's dissection of "Goblin Market?" Thought I'd mention it, it's interesting if nothing else.

Were I the professor you handed this to, I would love you forever; however, I'm not, and I think you are in fact going to die. Lovely death, though.

Out of curiosity - what did your professor say about this? I would have loved it, if I were he, (I've only just had time to read this now, I can't remember what I was doing when you first posted this.)
