Wow. They sound pretty awful. You can get a HUGE fine for not yielding to the emergency vehicles here.

Sorry LA traffic sucks so bad. I don't think drivers are particularly impatient here, but then we have cameras everywhere...

You get fined here too, of course a cop has to catch you...

Yeah, we have cameras all over the place. It usually isn't that bad on a given day, today was just a bad day for drivers it seems. A bunch of teenagers got in a bad accident on the Pacific Coast Highway (drinking) and there was a huge car fire on a very busy freeway, it was basically just a blackened shell. Scary stuff.

That's interesting, I thought it was nationwide that you don't have to yield to them and they also aren't allowed to hit you or other parked vehicles and get away with it anymore. I guess that's only PA then?

Haha, I think the majority of good LA drivers are
a. People that moved from outside LA or
b. People like me that are native to LA but grew up with the asshattery and decided to not get bit by the Bad Driver bug.

That's one thing I don't miss about Southern California, drivers who are stupid....it's so much nicer up here, and it's surprising since we have all the bridges. People always drive like morons over bridges. It seems the "Keep Clear" areas are difficult to understand...:P I don't know how you can get much more simple...:P

I can't believe people who don't give way to emergency vehicles. As if where you are going could possibly be more important! Fortunately Canberra drivers are mostly a pretty reasonable bunch, the problem with most people here is that they will try to give way to an emergency vehicle to the point of breaking the law, like pulling through a red light to try and let one through the queue.
