Closer inspection of the crashes would find you encountering a highly pissed off Erik Lehnsherr, brows furrowed in a combination of both anger and confusion as his attempts to ward off what appears to be a giant dinosaur aiming for

[Good thing monsters like Sharpay now! When the T-Rexaur notices her presence, it runs to her instead, getting down onto the ground for her.]

No, no, I don't need a ride... [Sharpay rolls her eyes, before calling out; she doesn't see where Erik's hiding, but if whoever was making those crashes was still here...] You're fine; just don't make any sudden moves in my direction. [Sigh this is the weirdest.]

[ Weird indeed. Erik turns around, only to see Sharpay standing there, apparently taming the T-Rexaur with ease. Last he remembered, he wasn't aware of anyone here being a mutant, aside from him and Charles. ]

I'm not that irresponsible, my dear. [ He frowns at her, a little taken aback by her abilities manifesting in front of him. ] I wasn't aware there were others here like Charles and myself.

[endscenterstage]

[Sharpay takes a moment to convince the T-Rexaur that she's okay without him, that it can go relax or whatever it is T-Rexaurs do for fun, and it accordingly goes stomping further into the Training Center. It's just easier talking to people without a dinosaur who might attack the person you're talking to!]

Like you how? [She regards him appraisingly; this question is curious if trying not to sound overly invested, not hostile.]

As the next step in human evolution. [ Erik walks forward, circling her with genuine interest. It all seemed too coincidental, someone else just showing up, mutant abilities and all, just when he was losing his own? Or was losing. It was hard to explain, without Charles to talk to and confirm with. He wasn't going to out his own diminishing successes to anyone here, not without knowing whose side they were on. ]

Tell me, my dear, [ The tone isn't patronizing in the slightest, but the same curiosity still lingering in his mind. ] is it just an attraction to dinosaurs or can you do more than that?

[A ninja has appeared on the scene! Quite literally, as only a hint of swirling mist telegraphs his otherwise instantaneous appearance in front of the T-Rexuar.]

[ Erik's voice drips of bitter sarcasm. ] What gave that away?

[ He's not at all surprised by the sudden appearance. That much. ]

The running, mostly. I'll draw its attention.

[Another poof of mist and the ninja vanishes, only to reappear above the T-Rexuar, blades swinging for its neck.]

I'm sure that will be most efficient. [ Erik leaves it at that, taking a step back to watch Edge handle the dinosaur with ease. It wasn't that he couldn't take it down efficiently enough, he knew he normally could. Although his self confidence neared the point of narcissism, right now, he was just a little caught off guard, having been in the Training Center all day, and finding nearly nothing was going right, not even when he was focused only on the object, or on a pleasant memory of his. ]

[Tom knew there was a reason he avoided the Training Center. He just didn't think it was because of metal flying every which way. Narrowly avoiding the metal, Tom winces as one scrapes the edge of his skin---

Great. He sighs as he encounters Erik.] Hey. You okay there?

I'm fantastic. [ Erik answered dryly, brows furrowed in frustration at the fact that there's a goddamn dinosaur after him. ] I hadn't expected this place to be littered with extinct creatures.

It's just a T-Rexaur. [It's not meant to be condescending, just matter-of-fact. Still, Tom can't help making faces as he raises his arm. It's not bleeding that badly, but still...

He sighs, pressing two fingers to the wound. It takes a moment for the energy to pulse from his hands, but once it does... Tom sighs with relief.] I know I'm not much of a fighter, but I can help. Those things go down pretty easy after a few.

That's helpful. If it looks like a dinosaur, smells like a dinosaur, and most likely behaves like a dinosaur... [ He trails off, analogy forgotten as he watches Tom heal himself, eyes bright with determination and passion. ] Exceptional ability you have.

[ He's far too distracted by that to focus on the fact that Tom just offered his help. ]

[Throwing a gloved hand up to protect her face from zooming metal, Selphie squeals.]

[Upon closer inspection it can be observed that Selphie , despite the warm weather to wearing clothes that cover from her fingertips to her toes.]

[ If that's not considered aggravating, then Erik is probably going to redefine pissed off. ] I assume you have eyes to notice the dinosaur in front of you. Perhaps you'd care to suggest why one of those would be after me.

[She takes a moment to consider this.]

[ No shit Sherlock. ] I wouldn't imagine a metal spear aimed at a dinosaur is something they'd like to see. [ He rolled his eyes at her. ]

Am I to assume you're just going to stand there, then?

[For some reason, Marvelous can't turn down a person in need. Not that he would ever say that out loud.

But at the sight of someone failing to fight a T-Rexaur, the pirate captain just grabbed his gun and shot at it's thick hide, not enough to kill it but enough to injure and scare it away.

So as it retreats, Marvelous lowers his gun and turns his gaze over to the column.]

Oi. It's gone.

[ Erik turned around from the column, looking straight at the man. He eyed the gun in his hand, looked back at Marvelous, and then the gun again. The sheer fact that he'd just been saved by a human is enough to anger him further, but Erik keeps a collected face and starts to walk away, dusting his jacket off unceremoniously. ] If you're looking for thanks, you're not getting any.

[Is it any consolation that Marvelous is actually an alien that just looks human? Twirling the gun on his finger, Marvelous just shrugged.] Don't want any.

[ Not like Erik can tell the difference. At least not from here. ] Fair enough. Guns aren't spectacular in the hands of a mere human anyway.
