Closer inspection of the crashes would find you encountering a highly pissed off Erik Lehnsherr, brows furrowed in a combination of both anger and confusion as his attempts to ward off what appears to be a giant dinosaur aiming for

[For some reason, Marvelous can't turn down a person in need. Not that he would ever say that out loud.

But at the sight of someone failing to fight a T-Rexaur, the pirate captain just grabbed his gun and shot at it's thick hide, not enough to kill it but enough to injure and scare it away.

So as it retreats, Marvelous lowers his gun and turns his gaze over to the column.]

Oi. It's gone.

[ Erik turned around from the column, looking straight at the man. He eyed the gun in his hand, looked back at Marvelous, and then the gun again. The sheer fact that he'd just been saved by a human is enough to anger him further, but Erik keeps a collected face and starts to walk away, dusting his jacket off unceremoniously. ] If you're looking for thanks, you're not getting any.

[Is it any consolation that Marvelous is actually an alien that just looks human? Twirling the gun on his finger, Marvelous just shrugged.] Don't want any.

[ Not like Erik can tell the difference. At least not from here. ] Fair enough. Guns aren't spectacular in the hands of a mere human anyway.

[Okay, that statement is enough to make Marvelous curious. Especially when his gun is a pretty spectacular gun. ] Sorry to tell you but, you look just as much of a mere human as I do.

[ He scoffs and turns around, anger brimming in his eyes. The man had no right whatsoever calling him out like that. Spectacular gun be damned. ] I can assure you I'm far from a mere human, despite my appearance.

[You started this buddy when you insulted his awesome gun.] Then what are you?

The next stage of evolution, Homo sapiens superior. [ As if to justify his claim, Erik pulls the gun towards him, letting it slide into his palm. Although it'd be noted that the gun doesn't travel as effortlessly as it should; it falters and takes much longer and Erik is confused and annoyed and really hoping the other man doesn't notice. ] A better man for the world than your average human.

[ He eyes the gun with genuine interest, amused by the bright colors on it. ] I suppose you're compensating for something, hmm?

[Marvelous noted the tug on his grip as his gun floated over to the hand of the person who just insulted it. He did note the amount of effort it took for him to get the gun in the first place but, compared to the fact that he managed to call it over, that alone was kinda impressive for an Earthling.

And reminds him a lot of a Zangyack commander who had magnetic power and was defeated by him and his crew.]

Alien technology looks like that.

[ Erik blinked for a moment; alien technology? He neatly hands the gun back, indignation replaced by curiosity. If you could call it that. ] Where did you say you were from, again?

I didn't. [He just takes his gun back and puts it back into his coat.] But I'm not from Earth.

[ Erik lingers on the gun for a moment longer. He looks back up at the man, still persistent in finding out as much as he can. ] Where then?

Famille. [Can you tell if he's lying or not?]

[ Definitely not familiar. /shot ] Are your kind just as boring as the people here, then?

[Well, nonetheless, he was still lying about it being his home planet.] You mean like most Earthlings instead of being something like you?

Yes. [ He says it matter-of-factly, as if this really should have been obvious that he has a dislike towards humans. Uninspiring, rude, prone to destruction. ]
