I thought it was fun. . .

Yeah, but what if there was a rumor in there about you? Or one of your friends? I mean, someone's already upset about the one about Souji, and if I were him I'd be upset too. That's not news, and it's definitely not news to imply that he could be doing things against the rules.

There is a rumor about me! But I guess it's not really a rumor, since it's true.

Well, that would make it news, wouldn't it?

[Rion doesn't ask what the rumor is, considering he has no idea who the student is behind this ID number, and they might not want to say anyway. ... then again, not everyone is as jumpy about giving out his ID number as he is.]

"Traditional sense"? What other organizations are there other than SeeD?

And we're not a bunch of children, even if a lot of us are cadets.

A lot of us are still kids, but that doesn't mean we should ... act like it. I agree - the newsletter is an important thing, but a lot of it isn't news.

[Oh, Rion, you're so much braver and easier to talk to when people don't know who you are.]

I, for one, greatly enjoyed the newsletter. The rumour section in particular reminded me of home.

Why would that section remind you of home?

I'm used to all manner of rumours flying about me! Naturally, I featured in this issue. It's quite reassuring, to know that there are some constants, even in a place this strange.

... but that's not the sort of thing that should be in a newsletter. Not one that's supposed to be news. ._.

There's gossip sections in a lot of newspapers, though. Why would Balamb Garden's newsletter be any different?

Most gossip sections don't take up a fourth of the paper.

You could always volunteer to write for the newsletter and write things that you think are newsworthy if you thought it was that much of a problem.

Maybe I will, or at least things that aren't just rumors and things that are half-made up anyway.

It's dumb and unprofessional. AND badly written. Where were our English instructors?
