[ Elika is having fun keeping juuuust out of reach of a t-rexaur's massive teeth, dodging, rolling and flipping out of range, making it turn around and around in an effort to keep up with her. She dashes forward beneath its belly and whirls, vaulting over the sweep of its tail and onto its back. It tries to thrash her off

[And here is Elika's housewaifu with her lunch again, except with less 'oops, I forgot to eat' and more 'we totally planned this'.]

The song's not going to play itself, you know.

[ She's always pleased to see her housewife. Especially when he's got food. ]

Why don't you try going from three strings to six.

Option 2

[The boy was enjoying, as much as one could enjoy being a little lost, his class break, knowing he was already late to his next course. Not too worried and perhaps having an argument with his uniform, which he despised using much more than the Order's clothing, he stops when a sound catches his attention.

He walks faster, following the strange sound. It wasn't unpleasant but it was very much new to his ears and it reminded him of a soldier from back home. He stops and approaches the lady with the sound-making artifact.]

What is that?

[waylights]

[ Elika looks up, fingers pausing on the strings, and offers the boy a smile. ]

It's a guitar. You've never seen one?

[ She pats the wooden frame gently, inviting him closer with a nod of her chin. ]

[too_sublimed]

[He walks closer if only to get a better look at the sound-making object.]

No. How does it make noise?

Magic?

[waylights]

[ She laughs, lightly. ]

Not magic. You see these strings?

[ Motioning to the guitar's six wire strings, pulled taut. ]

You just strum them, like this--[ she demonstrates ]--and the movement of the strings makes the sound.

[ The sound of music had drawn Selphie closer Elika. It sounded so sweet and familiar to her. She , herself hadn't picked up a guitar in what seemed like ages.It was nice to once again here the notes dance around her. Always the music lover , Selphie stood right over the playing lady.]

That sounds so awesome!

[waylights]

[ The comment makes Elika pause in her playing. Looking up sharply, she spots Selphie a few paces away and ducks her head. ]

It's...nothing, really. I still need to practise more.

[yellowzippers]

No! You are very very good. [ She smiles. Fear the smile. It will suck you in!]

[waylights]

[ Elika is absolutely unafraid to let herself get sucked into that million-watt smile. Garden needs more smiles! ]

Hardly--I used to play a similar instrument back home, this one is a little bit more difficult.

[waylights]

[ Elika finishes the last few bars of the song, her nose wrinkling a bit when she twangs on a note. Siiiiigh. There's a shape at the corner of her vision so she looks up, blinking at Mio. ]

Oh--hello. Is everything all right?

[waylights]

It's hardly eavesdropping if I'm practising in public, is it?

[ Elika's hand rests against the wooden frame. ]

Did you enjoy what you heard, at least?

[Sunshine is something Cid associates with the quad but music? Not so much. He's more used to the hearing the chatter of students and staff alike grow louder as he steps outside, but today, he's greeted by the sound of a guitar instead.

Drawing closer, he finds Elika sitting there on the steps. Cid watches her play in silence for a while until she reaches a break in the music. At that point, he applauds and takes a seat next to her.]

You are quite talented.

[waylights]

[ She looks up in time to catch a sweep of blue fabric moving right past her, and cranes her neck back--far back--to catch its owner. She smiles at Cid even as he speaks. She's glad when he sits; at least now she isn't likely to get stiff. ]

Talented? More like out of practice. I didn't get to play at all while I was away.

If this is what you consider to be out of practice, then I am most curious to listen to your playing when you are at your peak.

[He offers her a smile.]

How long have you been playing the guitar?

[waylights]

[ A roll of the eyes--a small one, though, and definitely not devoid of amusement. ] Flatterer.

[ She glances down contemplatively. ] Altogether? A few months. I started when I'd been here for two semesters. I was itching for music, but there were no setars, so I settled for the next best thing.
