Actually, it's just smacked Equius on the back of the head

and can now be seen sitting on a bench not a few feet away.]

I can't say that I'm particularly fond of the shade you've chosen, but that's more due to obvious biases than any legitimate fashion criticism. And I'm sure that when you lay on Strider's face to awaken him each morning he doesn't care either way.

[The puppet vanishes in time not to be hit, and doesn't immediately reappear.

Instead, a voice speaks up from out of nowhere.]

Forget the puppet for now. Dave himself will appear hanging upside-down in the nearest door frame.]

[Wipe the paint off and look in the mirror, it gets kind of obvious.

By this point, he's met the other Dave Strider, but the face paint catches him off-guard. Mistaking you for Dave doing something stupid, yep.]

[If she follows it long enough, it will lead her toward the food court.

There, it will simply sit at an empty table.]

[And then Dave is sitting where the puppet had been moments before.]

Do you usually follow dolls around like that?

That's like the number one best way to get knocked off in a horror flick.
