[ Aaaaaaaaand three... two... one...

COLLISION!

At that same moment Vincent was rushing out of class, Terra was walking down the hall with her arms full of her books and papers is quite possibly a very good reason that she should pay more attention to what she's doing. It might prevent her from getting knocked right the heck over with a squeak of dismay and a rain of papers.

... did someone get the number of that Carbunny? ]

[ The momentum Vincent worked up means this won't be a hit and run. On impact, he flips up and over, like a top-heavy SUV, avoiding crushing the girl but...sadly, his face does wind up on the tiled floor.]

hhhnn...

[ Hooray for not being squished! She's pretty thin so that would more than likely...well.. HURT. As it is, the wind is utterly knocked out of her lungs, but her recovery is thankfully quick. She's scrambling to her feet, even though she hasn't quite got her breath back an-- oh jeez did she just trip some guy? ]

I'm sorry, are you okay? [ He must like that linoleum. Yumyummy! ]

[ It takes him a moment before he feels ready to peel his face off the floor, in part because what little color he can manage for a flush is burning his cheeks. ]

I'm not hurt.

[ When he looks up, it's through a fall of his hair, a gesture that's been well-practiced to aid in hiding him from the gaze of others. ]

And you? Are you injured?

[ Avoiding the wall of flesh that's barring his path simply isn't an option. Even if it were, though, Vincent isn't a coward fleeing the company of creatures he fears, and this behemoth does little to intimidate him.

It's more a question of modesty. ]

It would be more disruptive if I removed it.

I could walk more quickly if you were not deliberately blocking the way.

[ The sharp dismissal of the girls does not necessarily bother Vincent, but he finds it to have been unnecessary. Shielding the weak (whether or not they appreciate it) is a duty of the strong, and this fellow clearly is strong. ]

Your advice is appreciated.

[ Yuna is preparing to move on to her next class, staring absently down at the ground -- though she's not exactly in a hurry, considering it threatens to send her to sleep every time she attends it -- when she looks up and notices Vincent hurrying down the hallway. Or perhaps flying might be a better term.

Luckily, she's paying attention to where she's going at the right time, or she might have crashed into him and ended up landing in the fountain or something. She's not exactly very heavy or physically strong. But she manages to swerve out of the way before that happens, blushing a little. How embarrassing! She'd have to make note to be more careful in future, so as to avoid looking that clumsy. ]

I'm sorry, sir! [ She bows her head a little, still unused to the customs of the Garden -- and the fact it wasn't really that necessary to observe formalities in the hallways. ]

[ The brunt of the embarrassment is Vincent's; having already barreled over (literally) one of the petite female cadets, he's fairly mortified to have almost added a second victim during his escape. ]

No, miss. The fault is...

[ He knows something of science, enough to know that random samples ought to be...random.
And so it strikes him in this moment, with only half of this girl's bowed face in view, that it simply cannot be a coincidence that so many young women in Garden are so lovely. ]

[ And Yuna is fairly mortified she almost barreled into him, too! However, she is going to stop bowing now and look up properly at him, since he sort of trailed off with his last sentence. Obviously she has no idea what he's thinking or her blush would just get worse, but instead she's going to offer him a polite smile. ]

...from what I've learned so far, though, SeeDs must always be observant. I guess I still have a long way to go! [ ...so it's not a very funny joke, but considering Yuna is way too serious for her own good, it's something. ]

[ Her features, and the air of seriousness, of purpose, which she carries reminds him of someone. He hadn't noticed it, or her, in Garden Code that morning (busy as he was, attempting to remain invisible), but now that he's got a proper look at her, it's almost a shock. The impact is sudden, and strong. ]

We all do, miss.

[ Souji warrants a pause as well. ]

I...just need some air.

Out.

[ The pause broken, he continues on his way, but the shoulder he turns to Souji isn't cold. It's just that he's been nose to hip with other students all day. Cut the man a break and walk with him. ]

[Class was rather boring today, even though there have been a few interesting thing here and there. But in general, very, very boring. What else is new? Good thing it's her last class for the day, or she would be very, very bored at the end, and far too annoyed. And bitchier than usual. Just when you thought it cant get worse.

So see Naoto heave a long-suffering sigh as she leaves her classroom. And see Naoto look up at the sounds of hurried footsteps. And see Naoto instinctively leap to the side to avoid getting bowled over.]

Is there a fire?

[Because that's the only thing she can say about... someone rushing like that. Not meant to be literal or anything, just... a statement. A deadpan one.]

[ He isn't running, not exactly, but the term "power walking" doesn't cover it either. It's not so fast that he doesn't hear her remark. It's enough to stop him momentarily. ]

There's no danger.

[She isn't exactly expecting a reply, not at all, so she raises an eyebrow at him. A little disbelieving-- did he take her seriously or what?]

What's with the rush then?

[ His head tilts slightly. ]

Personal reasons.
