[Event Action too]

[While most people might be panicking, Marco is having something of an opposite reaction. To Marco, this is fun. So fun, that if it wasn't an Okama thing to yell "Hee-haw!" in his world, Marco might actually go JUST that far. Up until now only Grell has really seen Marco in full-out mode. But Marco's all out now, kicking things down the hall ( Read more... )

[She knows those flames. Don't mind her sighing at Marco's enthusiasm. This is supposed to be serious after all.

Not that that matters with him.]

Lighten up! It's like a party.

[Swoops in in hybrid.]

In that case, I am never going to any party you invite me to.

[But she laughs a little as she says that, taking your mixed form in stride.]

Oh, I think I told you about them before. Usually there's a lot more drinking and fire involved, but hey we're missing some of the people for that, eh.

[A flaming ball of FIRE gets hurled towards Marco's head, followed by a chainwhip. It isn't aimed at him, but at a few Grats that are easily taken cared of.]

Sloppy, darling. [There was a grin, because Grell, too, is enjoying this! Destruction, DEATH, and a chance to really work out on his whip. This was truly living.]

It's about time something exciting happened around here.

[Ducks and dodges easily since he's strangely easy to friendly fire coming from his own crew. Still the voice gets a turn around glance and a quiet chuckle.]

Fun, right?

Absolutely! [Cackles in glee before charging in fast, laughing all the way before leaping over the pirate. With a flick of his wrist, he sends the blade of his whip onto an unfamiliar enemy. It embeds itself deep into the monster, giving Grell enough leverage to fling it away after landing. It went through a wall. Oops!]

Those don't look familiar.

They look like winter island critters to me. [Competitively kicks a monster through a wall too. Gotta keep up after all!]

Probably natives to where we're docking, eh?

[Espio's a bit sluggish, what with all the cold - this is far worse than a typical New Tek winter! - but this hasn't stopped him from fighting. Anyone who's seen him fight normally, though, would be able to tell he's moving much slower. A bit of junctioning has lessened the problem, but not by that much!

He's still hitting just as hard as ever, though, and when a Gayla flies his way, he sends it straight into the nearest wall so hard it leaves a Gayla-shaped dent.]

Hey. [Slows down enough to kick a few thing out of the way.] You all right? Toby's locked up safe?

I'm fine. [He's not, but stubborn lizard is stubborn.] And I don't know! He should still be in the dorms, that's the last place I saw him, but... [he takes out a whole group of weak bite bugs with one spin] if he wandered off to the quad or something...

Shit. DAMN IT! [Now Marco's mad because leave it to Toby to get himself killed even surrounded by people who want to protect him. Hm.... that might remind Marco of someone.] Okay, mind coming with me? That way I can drop you off with him. Once we get enough people we're going to try to clear and keep clear a way to the infirmary. See if you can keep him in there, aye? He's got some first aid skills at least.

[Oh good lord, the light is blinding. Robin winces as Marco comes into view-- and yeah, he completely forgot to disguise his voice in the shock:] ... What the hell're you doing?

Enjoying myself, you?

Trying to retain my eyesight. [fixes his mask so that he can properly see - it'd been adjusted for night-vision - and coughs. Dangit, he should really fix that voice distorter.]

... Handling the monsters okay?

It's kind of exciting actually.

[Hail, good 'roomie.' You know that fellow who has been alternating between bedrest and restless wandering since coming back from the field trip? And has been training his ability in giving frustrated black looks in addition to swordplay and spells?

Well, currently he seems determined to practice ALL of those things, save idleness. Once the Garden crash lands and he gets unceremoniously thrown to the floor, he doesn't waste any time in getting out the door. He isn't yelling any war cries or the like; just cutting through one beast after the next.]

[Given the sheer emotionless of the hacking, Marco just pauses to look at him for a bit.]

Kind of mechanical about it, eh?

notanobject December 2 2010, 04:54:29 UTC
[It may be subdued hacking, but there is a lot of it. Really, Oswald's strategy seems to be plowing into something and slashing into it until one of them stops moving.]

"Out of practice."

[Is all he says, cutting through another grat.]

"This is an easy way to move back into fighting."

I don't think fighting's ever something you forget.

[Double drop-kicks the hell out of some bite bugs as though to prove a point.]

Then again, I've never had a peaceful life.
