~cuddles~ Thanks. It may seem silly but even from far away that is somewhat comforting.

Meditate and believe that is all you can do.
I will be sending lots of good thoughts your way.
He seems to be a very strong man. Lets hope he can fight this.

Ya know.. from what I have been told, he can never get just a 'little bit' sick. Either he is as healthy as a horse or he gets so sick he scares the rest of us silly. ~small smile~

It's amazing how some patients just get better despite serious illness or injury, and others just go downhill from something seemingly minor. The body is a strange thing, and although modern medicine has made great progress, Many times all we can do is just "wait and hope". That's probably the hardest thing-- feeling powerless to change what's going on, even though you'd love to fix the problem if you could. My advice is to take some time for yourself... Relax, have a nice bath, a good drink, and escape for a little while.

Also, out of curiosity, did he have the pacemaker for unstable a-fib, 2nd degree or 3rd degree block? (or is it an internal cardioverter/defibrillator?)

Thank you.. I think I will. I am planning to keep the car tomorrow just so I can take my daughter and get away from everything. I don't know where I will go.. I just want some peace.

I'm not really certain.
Basicly all I know is that almost two weeks ago he went in for an EKG. They decided to put two stints (sp?) in and balloon another. During his time in the hospital he ended up getting a bladder infecton, a uti, and e-coli. Then his bp dropped and one of the stints was clogged completely. They did and emergency surgery on his heart but there was nothing they could do so he ended up having a massive heart-attack. He almost didn't make it. Then as the days went on he was getting better. They were weaning him from the bp medication and they took out his portable pace-maker because the whole time he was in ICU it didn't go off once. Two days later this happens. They are planning on putting a permanent one in either tomorrow or the next day, depending on whether or not all the infections are gone.

A stent is a springy piece of metal that holds an artery open. It is usually placed after a balloon angioplasty is done to open a partially blocked artery. Sometimes an artery will still get blocked even after a stent is placed. This can be due to abnormal clotting, noncompliance with prescribed antiplatelet drugs, or other factors ( ... )
