Thank you to everyone who participated in the Snap Cup Meme, and especially to those of you who left comments on my name! Such a lovely pick-me-up, and I tend to need those far more often than I should! I tried to leave comments for those names I recognized, and I'm so glad that more names keep being added ( Read more... )

re: iPod, Mr. Indi said they had the 160 GB for $299 at vanns.com, and they had 80 GBs at buy.com (don't know how much for). :0)

In my own review of the episode, I came to the conclusion that a lot of this episode was about Kara even though she was only in it for five seconds. I think the philosophical/spiritual division on the Galactica will be exposed when Kara comes back to prove she knows the way to Earth; as opposed to Roslin and the Lords of Kobol worshippers who still believe in the Pythian texts.

I completely agree with your assessment of the Chief in Joe's Bar - it had nothing to do with ganging up on an unpopular character (which they took pains to make sympathetic the week before) and we all know that Jane Espenson loves the unpopular characters!

The "Adama is a Cylon" thing is a sort of out-of-date clue now. I mean it could have been foreshadowing, but now I'm so convinced the Final Cylon is Roslin that none of the Adamas make sense.

Does she? That makes me feel better. I just know she also loves Jacob, which is what raised my suspicions. ;)

Whether or not she loves Jacob, I just can't see her getting away with an anti-Cally speech just for the lulz.

And I was thinking of her writing for, uh, maybe not unpopular characters but for lesser-used characters - like Kat last season or Jonathon on "Buffy".

I actually think the speech is too extreme for a hating-on-Cally screed anyway. It's clearly about his emotional state. I mean, FFS, he says she smelled bad! That's way OTT for anyone to think either Galen or Jane were serious.

Do you know if Espenson was also responsible for the Andrew stuff in BtVS S6 and 7? Because if so, I'm not sure I can forgive her.

she's an extra-special human with a serious missing time problem. ;)

Have faith! I really don't think so...

Yeah, I remember your reply to my post months ago. ;) I'm trying really hard to keep calm and be open to ALL possibilities, but Aurora (or something similar) is definitely my preference.

While we're griping about storylines that have been set up previously, with no pay-off in sight, whatever happened to Roslin, Athena and Caprica in the opera house with Hera at the end of S3?

Ooh, good point. Someone somewhere (my memory sucks) mentioned that her wig last week was quite similar to her hairdo in the opera house scenes. Hmm!

Can't be the Adamas. It's a generational bloodline. I say it's Roslin.
Oh man the idea of My Little Ponies brings back some memories, I am only a year older than it. It was bad, but when your five you watch stuff like that. That and She-ra. Even had a green plastic sword just like She-ra's.

Yeah, the generational bloodline is the biggest thing in the minus column. Plus, I just don't see it happening.

I'd also throw in that if Lee were a Cylon that would mean all three men she's seriously been involved with since the attacks (Sam, Leoben, and Lee) are all Cylons. Do the writers really want to make Kara a Cylon magnet?
