"Keep the blood away from my fancy new shirt!!!"
HA! I assure you, that's the first thing I thought after I stopped flailing like a madwoman over Gaius. touching. Lee.

*weeps* I know, I know! Must you rub salt in the wound?? The pain of no Six/Sam is NOT GIVING ME ANY CLARITY.

I'm not hating Six/Tigh though, it's actually really interesting. I just wish my sexy Cylons got to be sexy together.

At least we saw a few men in the harem at the end.

There are men in the harem proper, but their hair and general builds tends to make them blend in with the womenfolk. ;)

True. ;) Though at least this time there were some stuffy bureaucrat-types hanging out in the background, so maybe we'll get a bit more diversity?

Yes to the acting! Across-the-board excellence, even for characters I don't normally pay much attention to. And Mary totally rocked the whole fearmongering politician role.

Indeed! And Jamie was mighty good, as well. :)

It's hard for me to get excited over BSG when there's hardly any Kara-she's the best part of the show- which is why I probably won't download this ep for a little while.

Frankly at the moment I don't like Roslin, so I really don't care what's going on with her, Baltar and his harem is just icky, I can't stand Tory, and I'm also starting to dislike the Chief- so this ep for what I've read seems to have thrown all the story threads that I'm not interested in together. Just so you don't think I hate BSG I obviously love anything that has to do with Kara, and I'm surprisingly intrigued as to the fracture going on in the cylon fleet- and just how much of a personality (for want of a better word) do the centurions have. I must say I'm shallow and love anything with the hotness of Lee, but I also feel like his character has more of a direction this season.

Yeah, I missed Kara, though the episode held my attention better than most Kara-lite episodes do. I agree that it's hard to stay excited with all these separate storylines going on, especially since I don't really care about several of them. But at least it looks like some of them are starting to blend together. Hopefully the next few eps won't be so distracting!

It's strange, for the first time I feel like I'm actually starting to connect with the Chief. And...I'm not sure what that says about me. Ha!

The Lee stuff was really cool, and I was pleasantly surprised with how they intertwined him with Baltar's storyline.

And of course I repeat: WHERE IS MY KARA?

Yeah, most of the reactions I've read have been "OMG I LOVE CHIEF!" But for some reason, I dislike him more and more. Douglas does a good job, but I just really don't like him for reasons I haven't figured out. It also might be because that particular "everyman" type of character leaves me cold -- I never liked Xander or Wesley, for example. I WANT to like him, and I LOVE the Four's arc... yet now whenever he shows up, I groan. Go figure ( ... )
