I can see the wheels in his mind beginning to turn -- not quite in terms of religious faith, but more of a general questioning of what it all means, and how it applies to his life.
Wow, I didn't see that at all! I thought I saw him looking like "WTF. Tory's here in Baltar's cult? Grinning in approval?" and then at the end, when Baltar said "We're all perfect" he just had this look of total scorn: "No way man, I'm down with the guilt." Hee.
I did anticipate, when the Four Cylons were revealed, that BSG would have the "too many main characters" syndrome and find it hard to juggle all of them...but yeah. Hopefully they can all be in scenes together and not cut out Kara. :(
Yeah, now that I've rewatched, I see what you mean about Lee. ;) He's intrigued, but he's very, very skeptical and appalled. Good.
And I was just telling Jo in my reply above about the "too many main characters" syndrome -- gods, I ranted about that more than once back in S3.5. At least so far they've handled it well, knock on wood.
You got some meaty meta out of this episode. I haven't had a chance to delve too deeply into it beyond me wanting to get a Col. Tigh model to change my boy's nappies, too.
One other thought I have beyond the overwhelming FAITH arc is the whole idea of fracturing ties (nearly wrote Tighs!) and changing identities. Everyone's roles are changing to put them outside of their comfort zones and they're pretty much all losing their support systems. The characters are becoming more and more isolated. Even the final four are breaking apart from their group one by one. So personal journeys are a strong undercurrent to the whole faith theme and will probably go hand-in-hand with it by the end.
Thanks. ;) I actually felt like I didn't have very much to say!
And I remember you mentioning the comfort zones thing in your post -- excellent observation! In one of the pre-season interviews, Katee said that one of the key themes is that characters are forced to shift alliances and become "involved" (whatever that means) with people they might not have otherwise interacted with. I can see that playing out so far.

Since I'm a total spoiler virgin this season, that's cool to know!
And while you might not have had much to say, what you said was serious quality stuff and personally gave me a lot to think about. My entire meta ramble pretty much grew out of your post, so thanks for the mental nudge!
Any chance of a link to the pics on Tricia's blog? I've seen you mention them before and I checked the Galactica News LJ as well as Google but haven't had any luck.
